Detects objects’ Thermal Status, that is: measures surface temperature, EM radiation emitted from bodies in two specific sections of the IR spectrum (~ 0.7-30 μm), particularly ~ 3-5 μm and ~ 8-12 μm.
Usually employed in diagnostic analysis, mainly for Research and Prevention, it is used in horizontal applications (industry, building, environment, medicine, art, agriculture, etc.)
Example of thermal imaging in an industrial boiler: abnormal heat losses caused by a deterioration of the insulating structure
